You do the math
This morning I had a date with the beast.
Otherwise known as the elliptical machine.
So as me and my caboose were chugging along I managed to hold a conversation with Trainer & a fellow caboose chugger on the beast next to me.
Trainer was telling us about these "pills" that were endorsed by some baseball player many years ago. Both types of pills (there were two) promised the world with their catchy names. Something like, "Skinny in a Bottle".....
Anyway, we were laughing at how ridiculous that name is and how even more ridiculous it was that people believed in it.
Then we moved on to discussing good old Fen-Phen.
Remember that one from years ago???
Sure it would make you thin.
As long as you didn't mind a little heart disease or pulmonary hypertension to go along with your weight loss.
It's like those commercials for antibiotics..."Reduces sinus allergies but may cause dizziness, nausea, blurred vision, loose stools, loss of appetite, vomiting, and headaches." LOL
Sorry for the sidetrack.
So we all came to the conclusion that most of us are either aware of or in complete denial of.
No one that is overweight, whether it be by 10 pounds or a 100 pounds, sat down one day and said, "ok, I'm going to gain all this weight by the end of the month."
With that said, why would we expect to take the weight off so quickly and effortlessly?
Chances are (for me at least) I got myself into this pickle by not eating right and not doing enough exercise.
The obvious solution (like a MAC truck ramming into my fat arse) is to do the OPPOSITE.
Eat right and exercise.
Duh!
I've been following this equation now for just over 2 weeks. I've had my weak moments which I'm actually glad happened.
It's a reminder, a test, a fork in the road.
It's a wake-up call as to how incredibly CRAPPY certain foods make me feel after I've consumed them.
I officially crave the workouts. It's such a wonderful feeling.
Something to look forward to that is healthy for my mind and body.
Trainer plans on checking my body FAT again in 2 months.
I look forward to sharing my current and future percentages with you all in June.
Wish me luck!
Chug, chug,
Roundtooth
